A brand new fitness program for teen girls.
Healthworks Community Fitness (HCF) is partnering with Boston Children’s Hospital’s Division of Adolescent Medicine to launch the pilot referral program Girl Almighty.
Girl Almighty is a 4-week comprehensive fitness training program for teen girls (ages 13-18) from Dorchester, Roxbury and Mattapan who are at risk for chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and obesity. The program will sponsor 310 teen girls, providing them with the education and tools they need to sustain a healthier lifestyle.
Girl Almighty is a collaboration between HCF and Boston Children’s Hospital’s Division of Adolescent Medicine. BCH serves as a referral source for some of the participants in the GA Program. The rest are existing HCF members.
